Caspia’s pre-silicon side-channel assessment solution, SCMx, takes design RTL and stimulus as inputs.  Using a combination of standard functional simulation, advanced power profiling and sub-module power leakage correlation, power leakage issues are identified with sub-module granularity.

Using this approach, side-channel vulnerabilities can be identified early, and counter-measures can be added to minimize impact.

Gen AI can potentially make side-channel attacks more robust and harder to detect, so early analysis with SCMx is an important part of any advanced chip development framework.
